Citizenship application assistance available the 2nd Saturday
of each month from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.*
Citizenship and ESL/Citizenship classes are offered at a variety of locations, times, and in cooperation with several community agencies. Students should be qualified for participation by having been permanent residents of the U.S. for 5 years, and according to age, etc., qualify for the classes listed below. No fee.
ESL/CITIZENSHIP - Beginning Level
This course is designed for those who need to improve English skills and learn about basic U.S. history and government as well as verbal skills to assist in the citizenship interview. No fee.
• Downtown Center–Porter Building, 280 Main Street, Watsonville
Sat/Sab 9:00 am – 12:00 noon Palacios
• Mintie White School, 515 Palm Avenue, Watsonville
Mon-Thurs/ Lun - Jue 6:30 – 8:30 pm Sexton/Basor
ESL/Citizenship - Multi-level
This course will be taught in English and Spanish for those who qualify (see paragraph below). Students can receive help in class with the citizenship application process. No fee.
• Watsonville Area Senior Center, 114 E. 5th Street, Watsonville
Mon-Thurs/Lun -Juev 11:45 am – 2:45 pm Basor
CITIZENSHIP - Intermediate and Advanced Levels
This course is designed for those who speak English at the Intermediate or Advanced Level and are permanent residents wishing to learn about U.S. government and history and become naturalized citizens. No fee.
